Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

so this is gonna be really gross and i never talk about it but i ordered my sn but sn worried bc i have severe reflux and it can take me hours to stop essentially puking up small bits of my food after i eat. im worried this will effects my absorption of sn when i take it... anyone have any ideas?
my idea is that so long as i fast before hand and drink it somewhat slowly that i should be fine. i'm usually okay as long as i don't eat things too fast or in large quantities
Drinking it slowly would make sense if it weren't poison. If you do, then you have two issues to deal with, the reflux and the body's attempt to reject the poison. The point of drinking it fast is so that enough absorbs before the rejection and vomiting start. It's only a 1/4 cup of water, 2 oz -- if you have to slowly sip that tiny of an amount to not vomit, I don't think this method is going to work, you won't take in enough SN and you'll both suffer and survive.

It would probably be wise to do a test run beforehand where you fast for the recommended period, and then drink the relevant amount of water and see what happens. See whether it has been long enough for your stomach to empty itself and so there is no food coming back up. See whether the water comes back up from reflux alone. As others have said, drinking it too slowly can defeat the purpose. Drink your test amount of water in one go, as close to normal speed as you can manage.
Also you are presumably still going to take antiemetics? Because the nausea from SN exists independently of other gastrointestinal symptoms like reflux. You may also want to bring antiemetics as scheduled into your test run above. Basically we want to replicate the exact SN experience as closely as possible except without the SN itself. That way, we can test for how the reflux affects every other variable apart from SN consumption itself.
You may also want to mix some normal kitchen salt into the water, to create something slightly more similar to SN. But not in the same quantities as you would use SN. Just enough so it tastes a bit like seawater.

Either with straight water, or a very small amount of salt, like 1/8-1/4 teaspoon (SN is a heaping tablespoon or three heaping teaspoons, and also, a high amount of table or sea salt is also toxic and can cause symptoms).

This is definitely not your method, not if you're thinking of orally ingesting it. The only workaround I could think of is intravenous or rectal and neither sound pleasant.
I'd just look into other methods if I were you. Best of luck to you regardless.

I always like to give anecdotal accounts that might be similar in some way.
i have found reading actual accounts is what has helped me determine if I will personally suffer.
i've decided i'll do a test run with some salt water. i'm thinking if i drink it over a period of 3-4 minutes as opposed to chugging it that i will keep it down. i will be taking a double dose of tums which should also help. i can fight the reflux, it's painful but can be done, so i will do my best to fight it in hopes that it will speed up the process

Your case is very specific , in that it is only acid reflux while eating too much/fast , and I assume with no other GI issues or ulcers ; while the reaction (vomiting for hours) actually sounds severe . What kind of medications are you on? SN in general is better drunk quickly , even if you are prone to vomiting . If you drink it slowly and vomit quickly you won't be able to continue and you will survive ; if you take the whole serving quickly and vomit , it will be fatal (even though you vomit) . Considering your condition you can have severe vomiting , but it will be fatal . I'm not quite clear how it works for you . PPIs (over time and although not recommended practice) with AE should help with that . You may try the 48 regimen to increase AE tolerance and potency , and perhaps reduce chances of vomiting , but members have vomited even following that (moonie) , though small amounts (usually) . So the only issue is to think of how to minimize the vomiting and the discomfort . Drinking poison slowly will not minimize vomiting and discomfort but increase it :)

If I can just share, I don't have any (diagnosed) issues, but who knows. I'd say I have a more sensitive stomach so that's been a worry for me personally. Like I cannot chug a beer lol. I puke super easy. :/ I've been pregnant before and my gag reflex/nausea is parallel to that (it was bad). I have all needed medications so I'll also be doing some salt tests so these interest me. Thanks for sharing OP
@willitpass, do please let us know the outcome of your test, with as much detail as possible. It will help provide some guidance to other people with similar conditions in the future.
