tbf a prolifer would be someone that is pro life and against death, i dont disagree with it. however the word is getting thrown around here to the point its lost its meaning. "youre not prosuicide!!! omg you must be prolife!!" as if a middle ground doesnt exist (prochoice)

As for the words "pro lifer", it does get used a lot here but I think that it's rightfully used for the most part to describe those who like life so much to where they want to keep others alive for as long as possible. Pro life literally just means for life and the majority of people are in support of life, so much so to where you get involuntarily thrown in a mental hospital if you were to get caught doing a suicide attempt. If they go to lengths like that, how could they not be referred to as pro life?

I just used the search function and, you're right, people have said it though admittedly not as much as people have said it on the antinatalism subreddit. I feel bad for those who hate their parents as it sounds like trauma from a bad childhood though I don't think that parents should be referred to as breeders. Even though I personally dislike life, I can't blame or resent my parents as they're just following religious indoctrination as well as the "life script". They simply didn't know any better; I wish they did know better as I would be benefitted from being non existent but I still dislike life itself rather than my parents

Prolife is a stupid insult to hand out to people because the label is too positive.

The word used should be anti-choice or pro-suffering.

Everyone sane should be pro life because the best possible outcome is a good life where you don't need to ctb.

If a good life is not obtainable then CTB is a reasonable choice.

I mean yeah the word itself isn't inheretly insulting or stupid to use I just see it mostly used in a context to "Someone disagrees with me? F that pro-lifer. Pro-lifers invading the forum. Get your pro-lifer ass out of here you're not welcome" and it's painfully emberassing. Feels dumb. Comes down as they think they're superior and you're automatically ignorant and wrong if you have a different perspective/opinion. Doesn't encourage discourse only leads to a dogmatic toxic environment. (Imo of course)

From what I've seen on this site, there's only one user who does this. That user being the most popular one on this forum. I haven't seen anybody else use the words "pro life" in that way even if the word gets overused a lot

It certainly makes us blind when we group and label others. And even I was called pro lifer here once. I am not saying there aren't people here who are maybe undercover but some people see "pro-life" as a monster hiding under their bed every night. No one is out to get you that way nor is it that serious.

.Honestly found it confusing at first, as when i was growing up, Pro-life meant someone who was vehemently against abortions, and Pro Choice was pro-abortion.
Now it seems that's not the case, and pro-life has a different connotation.
Same with the word "Gay". I grew up believing it was a term for a happy person. I was born in the 80's, for reference so im not THAT old, but i was honestly confused when I used it to describe an individual and i got weird looks. in the end, I sorta just stopped using the word because it was a pain in the ass to keep explaining to look shit up in the dictionary.

As for this post, yes, i totally agree. I kind of annoys me, in a way seeing those posts about that promote negative feelings towards those people who dont agree with your perspective. I find it ironic. If I am the one who is annoyed, im supposed to just ignore it. but if I post a different perspective than someone else, im a prick?

That's true, it happened to me more than once chatting around here (though few times honestly) it seems that for some people here trying to be supportive and understanding is offensive to them, I guess they would think that a person with serious problems must just hate the world 24/7 and must be mean to others. If you are browsing reddit anti-natalism, I recommend stopping. It's one of the less constructive, biggest echo-chambers out there and there is nothing you can gain while exposed to that. Some brainrot, maybe.

I notice the same thing. This site isn't a constructive space for what it purports to support. I merely found it to function as a completely closed echo chamber, that forcefully seperates out any contrary opinions. Because of this, I find there to be a chilling effect outside of the most extreme opinions. I'm sorry, but if your website has numerous posts about how it's the greatest site, you give off the exact opposite vibe of what you want to give off. It doesn't look like a supportive space with happy customers, but just one, that zealously cuts off anything critical. Even the greatest products has harsh critics and YMMV-type discussion openly embedded, displayed and working towards more pragmatic conclusions. Yet this site seems to prefer zealous dogma over methodical reasoning. People will tell me to fuck off, but I find it scary, when this site amplifies my thoughts back to me most when I'm undergoing a anxiety attack, but impeds them when I think more methodical and clearly. It has only made my depersonalization symptoms feel worse. It's the only resource for how to properly off myself, so I really have little other choice but to stay.
