Those who leave...

I know there are some threads to compliment and remember those who have left SS and are already at peace.

However, I just want to tell you that I've been here over a year and I've seen some people who I really loved leave this world.
I was with them during their last moments and it broke my heart, especially today.

The only part of all that sadness that makes me feel better is that I know they're probably at peace right now.

Anyway, this is the sad part of SS. You've helped me A LOT and I'm still alive THANKS TO YOU.
However, there will always be some people who decide to ctb because life was just...extremely unfair to them.

I've "seen" a fair share of SS members who are nice, but the world is just too cruel for them. Those people deserve better. I don't know them personally, but they seem pretty cool the way how they treat fellow SS members, the way they provide words of comfort, crack a few jokes and share life stories. My heart goes out to all former SS members for both known and unknown ones. They know what we're going through, only they can understand us. I hope they find peace wherever they are. RIP.

When the discord was first created I befriended a lad who's name escapes me unfortunately. I know his pfp was a cactus though. We'd talk pretty often but I was finding myself less and less active in the discord at the time. He talked about catching the bus soon and sure enough, the next day he was gone. I never got to say goodbye.

I scrolled and read all his messages talking about his method etc to the other members. I still feel guilty because I saw his message pop up on my phone but I told myself I would talk to him the next day.

I think shortly after that the discord server ending up getting deleted anyway... But I'm pretty sure he's gone for good. I hope he found peace. I miss him a lot.

Can't really remember, but there should have been at least three people that I'd recognized from the forum that I saw an exit thread from. One woman opened a chat, we discussed hanging, and then she, in all likelihood, died by full suspension. Not one of the people that I've really talked to a lot have caught the bus yet, I wonder if I'll have an emotional reaction if it happens. I recently had a few people tell me they would miss me on here if I ctb, I don't know if that's true or not since my post quality has been in free-fall for a month. One guy I liked got banned recently, he was one of the two guys that I saw most of when lurking. Don't miss him, but if I could bring him back I would. I am unable to miss anyone IRL (no real attachment ability) and it seems to transfer to this place. A ban and a death should not have any real difference in effect on the other members.

Guess for this forum it's a good trait to have, although completely life-destroying when offline. Especially when you can't attach to goals, jobs, studies, hobbies, or anything fucking else.

I think it's a paradox.

Brevity (meaning to be concise) is my middle name but my name was TL (too long).

There has been a lot of goodbye threads on SS recently, it has made me sad seeing how cruel life has been to people, and I hope they are at peace now. I think of people on this forum a lot. I know somebody dying leaves a legacy, but I would do anything not to be remembered after I'm gone, I don't want to cause my family pain and I would love to just disappear from this earth.

Yes, it's really sad but well, we're in a lot of pain and any of us might be gone sooner or later too.
Everytime I check my inbox and see old messages of people who are no longer here, I just get so sad.

However, I just remember the good times I had with them and deep down in my heart, I know that's what they really wanted to do because this goddamn world was just...too unfair and cruel to them so, I guess that gives me some peace of mind somehow.

Anyway, that's why I enjoy SS to the fullest by talking to all of you and having fun before our time comes! After all, there's nobody else in this world who can really understand us the way WE do! :
