This is where I see humanity going

A wsj article shares the perspective of a person spiraling online as others cheer him on and even build a meme coin of his death. This is what I believe is the the fate of humanity will be. Human life will only matter in terms of what you can take from it. Everyone will be an item to advertise to. The goal will be to keep these units of humanity working to always earn enough to spend more and keep working and their value will be slightly more alive than dead because you can count them as an eyeball or a click. And if you treat their life the right way you can license the rights to a death for just long enough to capture a bump in value before their existence is wiped.
