  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Therapists especially, love saying this stuff but you've probably heard some more people such as friends or family saying this to you at least once.

Do they really think that "move on" are some kind of magic words which will change our lives immediately and make us non-suicidal individuals?

I wish it was that easy, guys...

I don't understand people who think all problems can be solved just by being positive. It makes me feel worse. It is irrational and invalidates the suffering the person is experiencing. My Mother shows me positive quotes (as she is really into that kind of thing) and I know she means well but I end up feeling worse. The internet is full of toxic positivity which is why I like SS

They say the words, but they never tell you how you should move on, some do, but they end up being the same old techniques used in the past. "Work out, see new people, read a book, go see a movie, go for a walk, etc." as solutions to the symptoms, but not solutions to an underlying cause. Move on? How? Do I revisit the trauma, reframe the trauma in a better way or hope that my feelings about it go numb enough to make me move on eventually even though it's not in your timeframe. Just like any other platitude, the action stops when the sentence begins, there's no actions to follow-up on.

I think it's fine as long as moving on is a euphemism for ctb.
