Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

They believed a really crazy story about leaving to get on board an alien spaceshi[ to go to a certain better place, not heaven as most people think of it. These were happy people who were living happy lives and it's a shame to see all the loss from this- this was not like most people here, who want to leave due to being in so much pain.

Yeah it's crazy! There's documentaries on it. Netflix probably has one. It's been parodied in many places too. GTA has a whole subplot on it.

It shines a very bright light on how people can be influenced to do anything under the right conditions. Where there's possibility there's always somebody that will look to exploit it. I think it's reasonable at this point to direct a gaze towards the people with the means to use this kind of info on a larger scale. Those that might have an agenda and stand to gain an awful lot from it. It probably sound ludicrous but we are already fully engorged in such exploitation and are paradoxically unwittingly participants in a similar situation. We're running head first at it and don't see the danger of it because we're engrossed by the promises of ever increasing gain of one kind or another.

Sounds very similar to Jim Jones. Or David Koresh. My Nfather has the same personality disorder as all these people, so perhaps it is a blessing that I am the only one who will die.

It's always disturbing to see how easily some people get brainwashed, willing to sacrifice their critical thinking in exchange for a sense of community, belonging and clear-cut meaning to life. What's more disturbing is how easily narcissists use their confidence and charisma to draw so many people in, empaths and vulnerable people in particular tend to gravitate towards them like moths to a flame and end up getting badly burnt.
