It was after I was fired. She knew about my obsessive suicidal thoughts. She told me you are smart enough to know that you cannot do anything about it. Just let it (poverty and later suicide) happen. A fight against it almost impossible. Then she ended my therapy and did not want to see me again. I told my mom about it. She e-mailed my therapist. The therapist lied to her and told her that was not true. She had not given me up she just thinks psychotherapy was not the right therapy for me. My mom believes her till today my dad does not acknowledge it either. I have so stupid as fuck parents who abused me. But that's another topic.
I am angry I was that nice to her all the time. I did not mention my strong daily suicidality at the beginning and after I told her about it she concluded that there is no solution to my problem. After all that's probably true. However she is an awful psychologist and did not see that I was in a severe depressive episode....
It would be cool to show her that she was wrong and my problems are fixable. But sadly that seems to be impossible :( In addition to that she was quite religious. Fuck religions.

I can only imagine how awful it must have been to be dropped by a therapist, especially in this manner. Someone who is supposed to help should not destroy what is probably someone's last hopes. Her approach seems unethical and non professional.

she just thinks psychotherapy was not the right therapy for me
I'm curious. What did she think would have been better for you, if not psychotherapy (apart from whether that was a lie or not)?

She did not even say what would have been better. I think she had no idea. Lol.

Sorry to hear of your awful experience.

There are many therapists out there who cannot or are unwilling to demonstrate empathy. It's probably not impossible to find one who actually understands a person's particular situation, but by that time the person may have been traumatized by the process of having to go through 100+ therapists.
