even though i have been told to "be yourself" and they'll accept me and stuff i always have these thoughts where i am someone's tool and my purpose is to please them

maybe someone will say that im horrible or something and since im not fully "being myself" i can easily adjust myself to fit into their standards or something

is it just me...?
