  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I just want to order SN when i'm back in the UK & end my life in my bed :(
I'm just so tired of life, I want to give up. My parents say I don't 'have' to work and our finances are enough to support me if I become a NEET. But, they would prefer if I have a job. The problem is that the job market is so damn competitive and you have to constantly learn new skills to stay on top of the job. HELP! I'm stuck!!!

Is there anything you enjoy doing? If you're not super strapped for cash, that leaves you with the time to develop your interests. And maybe one of them would help you get employed in something you like.

I'm applying for jobs in the charity sector- not the corporate world. I'm still stressed. It's not like I have to work, my parents know I'm depressed and have enough money to support me :(
It's just...

There's a huge chance you'll be able to work things out and figure out a good situation. It just takes time and effort. Try to focus on that before you decide to CTB.

Even though i really want to CTB, it's unlikely as my mum will probably intercept the SN before I can take it.

I understand and acknowledge you're in a lot of pain and really desperate to get out. But if there's even a chance things can improve, you should try that first. Suicide is permanent, and I'm not going to make the choice for others, but it should be an informed choice with other options considered.

Also, my mum & dad would be devastated :(

Oh boy, if that doesn't sound familiar...
We live in the age of the specialist. Almost every job needs several years of training, because every field has become extremely advanced and specialised. Nice and simple jobs are automated or outsourced. Gone are the days where one could survive as a milkman and a single income could support a family.

So, should I wait until I get a job & keep applying, or should I ctb with SN when i'm back in the UK?

Not sure what the problem is, either try to get a job or don't.

Life is really exhausting - I know what it's like to want to give up. Nobody should have to live a life filled with suffering. At least with your parents money to support you, you can take your time and try to figure out what you want to do in terms of a job. I wish you the best

You should ignore "the market" and look for a freelance way out.

One friend of mine, just started watching programming videos (java) on YouTube and is now earning a decent amount of money by working as a freelance programmer.

Hope you can find something! I know some people who even make a living by making drawings requests on Fiverr lol.

Hugs,

Matt
