You fuck up and then you end up in a vegetative state for the rest of your life. Yes, it's the easiest method but is it worth it? How I wish I had access to nembutal.

Hanging is not likely to leave you as a vegetable, it has a much higher success rate than that even happening. It's one of the most lethal methods. It is possible to end up in a vegetative state but it's not common.

i think brain damage from lack of oxygen to the brain is what you're probably thinking of. while vegetative states do happen they're usually worst case scenario and not commonplace.

Vegetative state is fine as long as the person is unconscious no? but how often does locked in syndrome happens I don't know and that's scary. Hopefully it's rare.
The only way that could happen is if your anchor point or ropes break, or someone finds you prematurely (you know, the longer the brain is without oxygen, the more damage it will suffer)
Things you can easily prevent by testing your materials and chosen location, and finding a private place where you are completely alone.
