Twitter -- the site, not the users -- has lost its mind. I signed up a couple of days ago so I could follow the amusement parks and see if there were any changes to opening day. At the end of the day I cleared cookies, cache, and log-ins from my browser, as I do frequently. I went to check in today, after the governor's no-crowds declaration, and it wouldn't let me log in.
The name I thought I had signed up with turns out to belong to an account that's been on there since 2011?! When I asked for a password reset to my email, hoping it would show me the name actually registered to that email, it gave me the opportunity to rest the password to yet another account (someone who's been there since 2017)?! It was all in Japanese, a language I used to know well but not anymore. Now I can't even find the controls to log out, so I could start all over and make a new account.
I had already followed both amusement parks and a local history organization on the account I can't access now.
Edit: all right, found the controls to log out. Starting the account creation process again. I don't see a way to check if the name I enter is taken already.
