Thanks for making this thread great idea! I'm alone this year so I'll be glad to hang out with you guys! I hate this time of year. November and December are my least fave months and it's when the worst things always happens to me. It makes me so sad I used to love Xmas as a child....now the good memories have been replaced with bad and I'm missing the people who are no longer alive or no longer in my life.

Good news, Jean4 - Here in USA I just found the sell "premixed" egg nog with brandy and such in bottles!

I think your gravy is different from ours is it not? Don't you eat 'biscuits' with it?
Also I know it's a Canadian thing but poutine is divine.

LOL. In the USA south, we have an entire meal we call "Gravy and Bisuits" which is a big pile of each!

Christmas songs am I right????? Without fail they make me want to slice my ears off, Van Gogh style.

You got it. I know the traditional thing is Goose. Never had it. I burn. I don't cook, and I want a year with no smoke detectors going off. You do it!

We've got one in my random small southern USA town because a local British man paid to have one torn down and shipped over here so he could have authentic fish and chips it's delicious, mushy peas and all.
