the mods on the sub have now gotten two of my accounts permanently banned. And all I did was respond to someone's post saying that had OD'd on blood pressure medication. I looked up the LD50 of the medication and said they didn't take enough of it and they'd be fine because they were scared. And somehow this is "normalizing" self harm? That sub is such a fucking joke. They've also deleted a few of my posts and comments before. They're scared of every little thing.

Yeah, I got banned for "discussing methods" by telling someone they can not OD on acetaminophen. It is a sub where everybody just virtue signals that they care about people by coughing up the same overused lines that accompany the modern mental health bullshit narrative. It is full of pro-lifers who spew their empty platitudes and predators who are looking for vulnerable people.

I got permanently banned from Reddit by them too for simply saying that people should advocate for assisted euthanasia in their country

All they care about on there is meaningless platitudes anyways. They don't truly care for the full perspective of suicide rights and the right to choose. They just wanna act like they're doing something helpful.

I hate that sub. For a while my posts would get automatically locked when I posted. They never answered messages asking why.

Reddit in general is a powertrip for some people. Mods get some authority and become little dictators.

I'm not sure what you mean. Was this directed at me or my post?

Yeah it's crazy. Especially on the suicide watch sub and the Stopdrinking sub.

I was experiencing some minor alcohol withdrawal so I posted on there asking a question. And after a few people commented the mods fucking deleted it. Because "we're not doctors and can't give medical advice". Which is so fucking stupid. I wasn't asking for medical advice. I was just asking if anyone else had experienced the same thing I was going through.

Those two subs are the fucking worst. I wish I could meet the mods in person just to see what they look like and to give them a piece of my mind. They won't be able to delete the rant I would tell them face to face. They think they're gods or something.

The mods there are what make it fucking terrible. The people that lost there are hurting and are reaching out. But if you don't toe the line and say anything they don't agree with it's an automatic ban and in my case a complete ban from Reddit. All because they interpreted my response wrong. I was trying to help the person for god sakes.

This has happened twice now. I'm so fucking pisst and I truly hate them so much. I wish there was a way for me to contact them to let them know they screwed up and got my 14 year old account (the first one they got banned) banned for no reason.

I have a question, maybe you can help me. Why do all of my replies to everyone get lumped into one big comment? It's like I'm editing my original comment to add a reply. I'd like to reply individually to comments but I can't figure out how to do it.

Sorry to bother you. Thanks for your help.

A general post. You and anyone else might benefit.

I'll be honest man. I still don't understand what you mean. I've been a member for only a few months and I still haven't totally figured out how all of this works. But I really enjoy being here and reading other people's posts. I just haven't figured out how to make them myself.

I hope im not annoying you, if I am I'm sorry.

Yeah it sucks. I can't believe my account was permanently banned from the entirety of Reddit. I'm no longer allowed to post or comment on anything.

And apparently it's against the rules to create a new account. Once your original account is banned then you're not allowed to create a new one. Apparently they're able to tell based on your location, the subs you follow, your post and comment pattern. It's crazy how they can identify you.

I've been an active user of Reddit since 2012 so I'm extremely angry about this.

Sorry I keep venting. I need to calm down and let this go. But fuck those mods

I also got a perma ban on all of reddit bc of suicide watch. I managed to get a new account running that i can post with occasionally with using vpn + using a new browser i never used reddit with + not immediately following all the subreddits i followed before. That being said I posted very rarely on reddit even before my ban so its easy for me to fly under the radar, if you were frequent on certain subs posting a lot it might be harder.

I'm also really angry about my ban. It shouldn't be possible to get banned from an huge social media site with so many different communities so easily, no other site of this magnitude does handel bans like that.

I recently left that reddit because I kept seeing people claiming you can CTB with like 14 NSAIDs??? When I recently bruised my ribs, I took 20 and lived without any harm. I tried explaining that on the post and got downvoted to hell. Fuck that.

Yeah, I was searching to find anything Nazi related until I realized that I'm just autistic and forgot that people say what they don't mean. As a Jew this is... eh.

@taker_of_insulin
Thought on changing the name to "The mods on Suicide Watch on Reddit are fascists"? Censorship is not a wholely Nazi ideal.

So many pro-lifers genuinely don't understand how suicide works. They want people to fail because "then they'll go to the mental hospital and get better!" but they forgot that failed attempts lead to lasting damage. If they had ever been suicidal or self-harmed themselves, they'd know that.
You should post a screen shot of the title of this post so the mods can see it.
That is a horrible idea, what? Don't send reddit mods here.

I appealed the ban and Reddit admin restored my account. They said I wasn't in violation of the rules. But fuck those mods on that sub

I actually joined this forum partly because I don't trust that subreddit anymore. Full of too many people saying "don't do it!" Mainstream social media sites give me a great deal of anxiety anyway, especially Reddit. On my old account my posts got auto-locked. I stopped posting. Forums like these feel somewhat safer.

On top of not being able to talk openly about suicide with people in my life I can't talk about it in most spaces online either. Otherwise I have to censor myself constantly.

yeah, it sucks so much~ :( I'm sorry that they were really going hard down on your posts there~ >_< I was never on r/SuicideWatch, but from my experiences elsewhere on Reddit, I found myself self-censoring constantly and disliking the apersonal environment it had~ >_< why would I talk except to help others or make friends? anyways, I hope you find a more welcoming home here~ :)

also, I got worried about the mods at r/SuicideWatch being actual Nazis for a bit there~ xDDD thankfully, they're not, but certainly, their policies for pro-choice stuff is not preferred~ That being said, while they could certainly be better, it's not like they have a choice if they want to avoid being quarantined and what-not~ given how Reddit goes after subreddits without advanced warning, they're always encouraged to overcensor, which is stupid, and I'm sure Reddit likes that they do~ >_<
