  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Suicide/ euthanasia doesn't make any money for the medical industry. If they keep you alive they keep getting paid because every month you need dozens of different medications, if they euthanise you at the age of 50 when you have cancer then they loose out on years of drugs they could've sold to you, and if they prolong your death by giving you all sorts of medicine then they can keep you alive until maybe 60 and that's ten years of business and 10 years of sales they're making.

Euthanasia only cost like €40, but if you live and keep getting treatment there's more money to be made by insurance companies, hospital, doctors and the government and economy.

greed is what's preventing the legalisation of the right to die

Correct and at the same time this complex readily afflicts you with conditions that'll make you suicidal. Debt, addiction and pain after botched and/or unnecessary procedures.

I absolutely agree! Follow the money trail and it is all very clear. All about greed and profit.

It depends on from whos standpoint. We see many governments rolling over for assisted suicide but it's obvious they are only eager to do it for the elderly so they can stop the pensions being paid out. They need young taxpayers in the system . Cynical governments mostly in the EU will use humanitarian grounds to try to deny it to the young when the real motivation is financial

from an insurance company standpoint in the US they really have no reason to keep you alive if you are a costly patient. This is well known to us here. Now of course the doctor would like you since he gets to collect at those high private insurance rates - but I wonder if the doctor had a difficult patient would he really care to lose a patient on low reimbursement like Medicaid or a patient in ER who is an obvious deadbeat for payment.

big pharma loves it unquestionably.
