the bug and his selection of artists is really great.
at the moment i listen into every track posted in afterX (finished that already :D) and i am at page 12 in the music mega thread (long way to go ^^).
lots of my music i listen to is from solidsteelradio (which i call my religion ^^). their show is somehow the soundtrack of my life. i heard em over and over and still discover new tracks.
but i guess as you mentioned england - ninja tune and solidsteel is no stranger to you.
yeah - like rain too - calms me - and yeah the smell of a sweet summer rain is brilliant

about the art thread - do you have a specific one in mind?
i must say - my collection is mainly music as its my main inspiration.
but i am always open for inspiration, at least when i am not busy hating myself :D
i must say that i was long time deep into dubstep and all around it.
but lately the straighter stuff did hit me hard and kicked my azz around like a punching bag :D.
and cause i like to go from one end to the other in a splitsecond, i would be interested what you think of stuff like that?

as soon as i finish music thread i'll go for it. :)
i like the tension which builds up in the mixture of opposing things but also the merciless pureness which completely devotes itself to one thing.
i often wish i would have the energy and self-belief to go through some things in life, no matter what. but at some point i seem to have lost most of it and sometimes it lightens up, which makes it even more frustating - knowing this feeling but not being able to replicate it.
it's like a prison of numb emptiness which keeps my lively part inside it.
right now i am also somehow back to life - and yes - passionate art is life.
in working through the music thread i noticed that there is not enough beastie boys stuff. so lets funk!

oh mate! i absolutely relate to how you described this existential mind fuck..
i used to be a passionate arrow! i had a belief\project in mind\heart and i would charge with guns blazing!
if im being more honest that energy probably was fueled by my rage and opposition to what i was born into and how i was raised etc, but in my twenties i lost someone and something in me that was extremely powwerful collapsed cause it was already built on a thin tight rope and so my "belief" system changed, i became defeated and slowly more and more recluse and detached.. that lively caged part you described is being shielded and kept safely numb.. we are made from very fragile material and like you say sometimes it lightens up and we want to hold on to that refreshing feeling of nonchalant but its fleeting and we dont trust it.. never a fucking break right? ffs..
but hey i mean look at this fantastic portrait of how @Sensei sees me
