you use a urine test strip or a test kit from EXIT international (more expensive, same shit). If you have powdered N, you can perform a test for purity. there is no need to perform this test on a brand new, unopened and sealed veterinary product. It is from a LEGIT company and they would be in serious breach of laws if they didn't produce what they said they did. a genuine manufacturer who provides to the veterinary companies isn't going to produce poor quality products, absolutely no point whatsoever. and anyone who tells you different is full of BS. you can't buy poor quality N, and if you read it on here its just made up to scare people. oh interesting! the N I have is 3 years past its expiration. and I tested it about 3 years ago and it had a purity of 70%. I'm worried it has degraded since and that I Might have put dirt in the bottle when I pierced the bottle's seal with the needle . so could anyone please advise me where to find the directions for testing N?

N is good for at least 20 years when stored in cool dark place. It degrades at about 0.5% a year.
If you see particles in the N that's an issue and going bad.

What test did you do to find out it was 70%???
Most people have 2 bottles, If yours was 70% it would still contain 4.55g of N, so if the had another bottle that was unopened they would still have 11g of N,which is enough to CTB with......and EVEN if they had opened both and they were 70% it would still be 9g of N which again is enough to CTB!!!
If you only have one then it might effect you personally, but like i said most people have 2 so it wouldn't make a difference to them

Do you think the bottle of N that I tested already is degrading faster than .5% a year? Because of maybe outside air or dirt that got in the bottle on accident?

I do not understand why Exit international only sells a qualitative test for N. How can someone know how pure their N bottle is? And whether there is anything else in it that could make it unusable?
