When you buy the intert gas from a reputable dealer, you donĀ“t have to test the purity.
If you want to use the CO method (BBQ), the CO concentration in the room should be 10,000 ppm. You can test it by using a CO meter that goes up to 10,000 ppm or higher. If this were my method, I would use two BBQs, each with the required amount of charcoal (at least 135 g per cubic meters of room air). And if you've never used a BBQ before, I would highly recommend doing this to get a feel for it, before you plan to CTB.
