Hey,
I already failed once trying to hang myself because I got hold of the roof bar. They said that after 10 seconds you are unconscious, but it seemed like an eternity.
Now I'm wondering if I'm going to put my neck over the tracks. Only I have read that with the guillotine people were still alive up to one minute after the decapitation. Is it not the same with this mehtode?

@darkwater I vote neither. There are many methods that are both more peaceful and have a higher success rate.

I think when people say that you are alive after decapitation, you are only technically alive because there is still minor some body/brain function but you will most certainly not be conscious. I would recommend suspension over train tracks as train tracks will be much scarier. Even if you ensure its impossible you won't be able to move those last few moments may be pretty scary, although I suppose it would be guranteed death at least. Suspension takes practice to get right, which is why I personally am not going to use it. I plan to just mix baking soda and vinegar in a plastic bag around my head, the CO2 from the reaction should make me pass out quickly.

co2 is a bad choice for that. When air is highly co2 concentrated, we feel like we're choking. Basically that's what happens when you hold your breath. I don't think you would pass out before the choking effect happens, and you would probably still rip the mask off unconsciously. This is why people tend to use other inert gasses for the exit bag method, like helium, nitrogen, or argon.

This is true for lower concentrations but not for high. I have personally hallucinated from doing this attempt and felt no pain, although I did rip the bag off of my head from fear.
