When you realize the rest of your life is screwed, and that no matter what you do or how much effort you put forth, you can't fix it or make things better. When you realize that everything you ever worked for surmounted to absolutely nothing, and that you will never be anything...that your whole life is a joke meant for you to suffer in pain on a daily basis...that's when the urge to escape, to die, becomes so very lucrative.
