• take body-numbing painkillers
• buy a jerrycan of gasoline
• make sure i am in a place where no one will extinguish the fire
• douse myself with the gasoline
• light myself on fire

• certainty: good, as long as you are far away from medical help

If you want to die in agonising pain then burning yourself alive is the way to go.

On a budget, I have thought about getting super duper drunk to help overcome the survival instinct (hopefully) and just opening up my wrists. Forty bucks will get one good and drunk and cutting while drunk should be less painful than self immolation.

There are mega threads and resource sections for methods. Only you can decide what is best for yourself. I wish that I was gone as well. Dying should not be so difficult and complicated. I hope that you find relief from suffering.

from what i have read, there is a low chance of survival, as long as no one stops the process

I'm not sure you understand what you're getting yourself into. Have you ever accidently burnt yourself on a stove. That's burning to death x a million all over your body.

I wish you could, and you would. Fire is an agonizing way to go, not even considering what it would be like if you don't die. it's not even a method bestowed upon death row inmates who committed heinous crimes. I guess everyone makes their own choices. I wish you the best. And peace.

And your SI isn't too strong for immolation?? Find that hard to believe. Not doubting you and respect your post but something is off here. Have you tried other things to help your life before ctb?

Others have already spoken about the extreme pain, plus you seem to have done your research already with all the links in the OP. At this stage I can only hope you really know what you're getting into, and wish you a not-very-prolonged and a relatively peaceful end.

In my country too, a lot of people commit ctb by this option because it's super cheap and readily available. However many of them, unable to bear the pain, call for help themselves (one guy even partially extinguished the fire on himself, just so he could operate a phone to call for help, bc he did it in an isolated place). This is a level of pain no painkiller can help you with, it's no joke at all. If at all you do call for help, you can look forward to days, possibly weeks of extreme agony in the hospital before you go (assuming you don't survive).

Where do you freely get TNT or explosoves at all?! Seems pure fiction especially with EU regulations.

Tough one for location. I'd say woods, best if there isn't even the smallest residential area around it. Or if there is, somewhere deep in the forest.

To prevent a wildfire, you could make a makeshift fire pit of stones arranged in a circle, perhaps. Useful too if in your country wild camping laws default to camping in bivouacs only, they will have such designated places for fires. Of course, it goes without saying if wild camping is unrestricted, you have by far the best option. Although if it is forbidden, might break the rule as it will be your last.

Neither they understand what limitation is anywhere outisde The West (TM) it is to be poor and suicidal. Every source will tell you cutting your wrists is absolutely the least successful at under 5% of all successful attempts.

Which part is fiction? The only position I stated was that opening wrists while drunk must be less painful than self immolation (burning oneself alive). I never said anything about drinking oneself to death, or about the success rate of opening wrists.

Merely trying to help someone avoid the potential horrors and pain of immolation.
