Preparing to ctb on the 2nd week of January. I think a month and a half is enough to prepare for it.

I'm in the process of writing my letters and I'm having trouble who to include and the content of it.
Specific instructions for what to do with my body, belongings, and funeral are already done.
I can't get over the emotional aspect of it but I think it's necessary so that this my decision is understood.

Who to include? Loved ones for sure, but do you include people who've abused you and made you go this route?
What should the content be? Is it full on honesty or just kind words to soften the blow of your death?
Should I apologize for doing this even if they know I'm sick?
Would a recording be a better medium so that I'm misinterpreted?

They are different paths and every word matters. It is really hard to write.

The most common and "reassuring" is to write reasons and words of encouragement. Harsh words, crude or long-winded with all the sadnesses of life...don't seem adequate to me.
A strong impact is to write down who hurt you as it will possibly totally change the reaction of your relatives.
Yes, a voice or face recording is more practical and fluid. It is the last memory.

I hope you find peace and hope

Are you planning a kind of form letter where all recipients will receive the same message? If so you may enter to consider if everyone who will receive it already know all you will reveal or if it will be shocking to some. It's 100% up to you but it's something to consider.

I have written short letters to beloved friends and my partner. Even though they know my story I have emphasized how much the abuse and neglect I experienced by my parents and blood relatives have further contributed to my situation and decision. I will leave no letter to my abusers. They are not worth the paper and my silence shall be statement enough. There is nothing I could say because it does not change anything - neither present nor past. I am sure they would never understand or accept what I would say. Otherwise they probably wouldn't have been this abusive, neglectful and horrific in the first place.
