Hello guys! This is my first post I was always surfing this site, it's amazing, free of pro-lifers, and sorry for my English.
Anyway I was on a diet the previous two weeks and working out, I wanted to have sexy legs lol! Then something happened and crashed my future plans, so I thought of CTB, and since I am already on a strict diet I thought of being anorexic and starve to death.
I already passed the period of "food obsession" and thinking about eating food all day, my appetite is almost closed, so tomorrow I'm starting my starvation! But it's like a long process "40 days" so I'm still open to try other stuff, I'm buying a rope tomorrow and I'll give it a try! But I'm very happy with the starvation method cause it seems painless! So what do you guys think?

Seems like a risky thing to do - not a method i would go for tbh, as too many unknowns.

Wish you luck nonetheless.

Do you have family? Well if the answer is yet can you please look at it at there point of view, watching you starve to death in front of them isn't going to happen, they will likely intervene and you'll be sectioned and fed through a drip.
How old are you and why the need to ctb?

@Fartlastone

Not painless at all.

Far from it.

Also extremely unlikely to work, as you will become very ill and weak, and then medics will intervene.

Please do some proper research.

Combine it with no fluid intake and its a good method, if you smoke as well try smoking some weed to knock you out.

Lol starvation is definitely not painless. Your enthusiams and excitement for dying is crazy. I get you want to die, seems we all do, but it is not a party.
I was depressed and didn't eat for a month. Went from 155lbs to 130 before i couldn't make it anymore.

Starvation is NOT the way to go. Look up Wernickes Encephalopathy to learn what happens when you deprive your body of essential thiamine/B1 vitamins as a result of malnutrition. You will end up hospitalized, unable to walk, and after they put a feeding tube in, will transfer you to a Psych ward.

Just go to a deep forested area in the depths of winter, you won't be disturbed.

Can't imagine going out like this. My depression has increased my appetite like crazy, and I love food. It's my only reason to get out of bed.

I could go without food, since I already don't eat much due to Crohn's and gastroparesis. But water, that would be difficult. Plus, they say you have a fair amount of pain in the last days. And let's not forget the severe constipation...

Starvation method. LOL. You wouldn't have success even if you had an ounce of METH and a carton of cigarettes.

It would be virtually impossible to successfully kill yourself with starvation. What made you go from dieting and working out to being ready to CTB so fast?

Good of you, Train, to find and post that article - it's really comprehensive. My Mother passed that way with hospice at age 88 after a stroke, but she was given liquid morphine every day for back pain, so I believe she didn't suffer. I can't imagine trying to exit all alone without any assistance. A person would get so weak after awhile that he couldn't even move, but would have to lie there by himself feeling the awful effect of dry-mouth and dehydration and be unable to lift his hand to moisten his lips or mouth or even turn over without a caregiver, plus other things that would be indescribably awful without help. Not a way that I'd ever want to go!

Starvation is not a painless method. This doesn't seem like a great idea it's very risky.

I wish you luck if you choose to go through with this

I admire your determination.
I would never be able to go forth with starvation.
Action based methods take a lot courage to perform, but a passive or inactive method such as starvation may well be even more difficult to pull of, as you will have a constant battle to stop yourself from eating.
You must be very strong.
I wish you the best.

This is my chosen method also. My plan originally was to go to death valley and find a cave and bring about 30 gallons of water with me and set my tent up in the cave just to keep bugs and little animals and coyotes from trying to eat me before I passed. I took a 2 week road trip sort of scouting out places. Caves like that are hard to find that aren't frequented I found. I'm still working on it. I think it would be a mix of euphoria and agonizing pain. Which seems ideal.

I'm replying to myself....'yes good idea, but go to monument valley and keep your tent in the back of your truck with your temperpedic mattress in there...pull behind some lonely out of the way place behind a large rock out cropping and do it to that way...you don't need a cave Jeff'. I just hope no one finds me until next year.

True, I considered it for a while, but thirst won out within 24 hours. Then I read up on it further and discovered it wasn't very doable unless you are in hospice care. Then I found this place and discovered SN would be much better.

Jeez! Were you able to drink fluids? Hospitalization for IV hydration?

My poor Train! I did not realize you were struggling so much with GI distress. You are so lovely and good, have you been able to find any kind of medical relief? Aaron Swartz -- remember the creative-commons/Reddit guy who hanged himself after he was federally prosecuted for hacking into MIT's computers and stealing their subscription to JSTOr? -- anyway, he had Crohn's, too. https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2013/03/11/requiem-for-a-dream/ http://www.johnxlibris.com/2013/03/ulcerative-colitis-or-why-i-cant-stop-reading-about-aaron-swartz/ I'd be interested to hear where you stood on this whole brain-gut connection debate. https://www.wbur.org/commonhealth/2013/03/07/swartz-brain-gut

Sorry but some of the responses on here are somewhat shocking, even on a forum like this.
I'm not pro life but maybe the OP needs a bit of help as anyone picking this method to me can't be right. It will be the most painful way to die.

Op, is there a reason you are choosing this??
