Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Protesting the conditions of an inhumane world

Sometimes I like to see what others are feeling after their friends, children, parents, partners, etc. take their own lives.

I'm not a psychopath. I don't get pleasure from reading about other people's suffering. So I can't say I do it "for fun" because that would be fucked up. I can't exactly describe the reason I like to read it.

Maybe it's because I just wish someone would care enough to even acknowledge it when I inevitably off myself as well. Maybe it's for the better than no one will suffer as a result of it, but it's sad that I really make that little of a difference in this fucked-up world.

I can imagine that something like that is probably filled with pro life type views which is something that I see as being best avoided. People who have lost someone to suicide should just be relieved that the person who has died cannot suffer anymore. Those who ctb are finally free from this hellish world and whatever this existence has burdened them with is no longer their problem, I very much envy those who ctb.

Losing people is just an inevitable consequence of selfishly and unfairly bringing life here in the first place and after all, to die is the most normal thing ever, so to me it's preferable to ctb than to be trapped here for decades on end just to suffer, deteriorate and die anyway, life is all for nothing and leads nowhere, to exist is something completely useless that serves no purpose other than to torture existing beings so unnecessarily. Continuing to exist is the ultimate risk anyway as there is no limit as to how much torment we can potentially feel and this is why the thought of death is the only thing that could ever be close to a relief. Yes, other people may see someone dying as being a sad thing as it affects their lives, but instead the real tragic thing is having to exist in this world with no straightforward way to leave. If people don't want to deal with loss then don't bring life into this world at all, to procreate is something so incredibly shameful.

It's important to take full stock of the impact before you decide to go.

Probably because you feel less alone. If I were you I would rejoice in the fact that you will not be hurting anyone on your way out. I only wish I didn't have to

youre not alone. I visit that page occasionly and struggle with the same questions about why I go there. Maybe in some odd twisted way, it gives me comfort knowing my death will have an impact yet in the same vein I feel terrible that my passing would leave behind a lot of emotional devastation.

I do the exact same thing. It kind of makes me emotional seeing people on there. The pain they seem to exude even through small portions of text… I am not sure why I read it myself. Maybe to understand the reaction some people could have in my life eventually when I go?

I think it makes sense. I mean, it's all related to CTB, and I think people in general would like to have an idea of what will happen after they die. What happens to their belongings, how they get found, if they get a funeral or not, etc. It's general curiosity, that even if you don't have ideation, that you're curious about. Nothing wrong with that.

I also think it has to do with general empathy. To have a desire to see a perspective outside of your own, even if you disagree with it, is an amazing skill to have. I think it's also good to understand what happens when you leave, even if it's not directly the people that's connected to you, it shows the general process of grief, loss and love of other people.

I like to read it because I like understanding more. I want to understand my existence in the deepest way possible, in the most depth as I possibly could, and that includes looking at my social circle and environment. I don't want to leave until then. This subreddit helps with that - it puts me in a situation that I otherwise can't look at.

I guess what I'm saying is - it's not messed up to look at these things. It's not twisted by any means. It's normal to want to find comfort in some of these things and topics.
