So, this is how it's going to end for me.
A climbing rope with a simple slip knot should do the job. After watching the suicide video of that Swedish guy I decided that partial suspension is the way to go. My father hanged himself in a basement many years ago, however I don't have the details on how he did it exactly. The rope will tighten around my neck as I lower myself, and my behind will be about two feet above the floor. I will put on a turtle neck sweater to make it a bit less painful.
I'm not sure yet if I will do it at home, since that would mean a family member will discover my body. I do live alone, but my mother, my sister, and my stepfather all have keys to my place. There are plenty of trees with thick low branches around where I live. But the idea of sneaking out past midnight to hang myself in the cold, dark night fills me with deep sadness.
Any thoughts or suggestions about my setup? I appreciate any input.
