Some musings on how we should perceive suicide

Suicide should not be thought of as taking your life, murdering yourself, etc. To CTB is to give yourself the gift of death.

We must ask ourselves if we are ready to receive the gift of death and cross over to peace eternal.

I'm there. I need a break from myself. I deserve some peace, as I sure haven't gotten any here where I am.

When I first saw the title of your thread, I thought your post was going to be about receiving your N in the mail, IE "the gift". I was going to tell you how jealous I am of you. But, it's all good.

Ah, I think N and SN are quite a hassle to get. Maybe jumping is easier. I've heard that if one drinks a lot, jumping is easier because of less inhibitions

I feel like ppl think of suicide as a cowardly thing but in most cases its not, like for me its very difficult & scary & the only reason Im doing it is bc life is worse, but that doesnt make death any less scary so idk why people think of ctb'ing as the easy way out

I do see death as being a gift, for it's the only way to free ourselves from the burden that is existence. Non existence is true peace, as it is the absence of everything. I see death as being a wonderful thing, as we simply cannot experience anything. Everything that is wrong with life is gone. I like the sound of dying at a time of my own choosing, rather than it being out of my control. All humans should be able to pass away peacefully when the time is right.
