but there is nothing about those stories on that blog that would remotely deter me from taking it...it basically says it causes certain death in very little amounts...so if they are aiming to deter people i dont think that is the best story to post- it just confirms what an ideal method it is to me...

"Two adults and their daughter aged five were suddenly taken ill after the midday meal. The adults died before a doctor could reach them and their daughter died shortly after her admission to hospital. It appears they had complained to neighbors of acute abdominal pain and vomiting"
http://swifletresearch.blogspot.com/2011/01/death-by-sodium-nitrite.html?m=

Another: "SUMMARY. A 67-year-old man accidentally ingested 75 g of sodium nitrate. He had instant gastrointestinal symptoms." Poor guy didn't even take deadly amount.

https://casereports.bmj.com/content/2014/bcr-2014-204825

Another: "Sodium nitrite intoxication is a common cause of severe methemoglobinemia, methemoglobin levels of 20%–50% may cause symptoms such as respiratory distress, dizziness, headache, and fatigue."
"As the levels reach 30%–40%, symptoms such as headache, fatigue, tachycardia, weakness, and dizziness are experienced. Methemoglobin levels of 60% produce lethargy, convulsions, and coma. Methemoglobin levels of >70% are generally lethal."

https://www.hindawi.com/journals/criem/2016/9013816/

It is an ugly death. Can find dozens more but just google it yourself.

Was not SN, but sodium nitrate.
Was about to say. I don't think the OP is too bright..... probably just some bored edgy teenage girl that doesn't even get that SS is pro-choice, not pro-life nor pro-suicide.....

Well I don't know if there is a truly pain free method. Its going to be uncomfortable, that's the reality of it.

Self death is a tragic thing. I'm all for choice and I'm also terrified. I have my sn sitting next to my bed and while I want deliverance I'm also so so scared of it.

I don't defend OP nor do I criticise.

This is a forum for people who want out and the ones who are truly serious will do it regardless. Some discomfort is expected yet the trade off is it greater than the pain of living.

Those who just heavily ideate will continue to debate and explore and research methods for the small relief it brings and the fantasy that maybe there will be enough desperation to go through with it. I pretty much count myself in this group.

Was not SN, but sodium nitrate.

That one was a mistake. Here are more cases. All Sodium Nitrite.

"or sodium nitrate, is the salt more com- monly used in curing meat. U.S.P. ... came dizzy, felt weak, and complained of abdominal cramps."

Well reports of immediate opiate overdoses say they feel absolutely nothing. It just goes black.

...I can find dozens more from of survivors who say it was agonizing but just google it and you will find them.

I'm sorry if my initial reply to your thread came off as a bit insensitive, but I do have to ask: what did you hope to achieve by signing up and posting this thread? Is it your intention to help others? Please keep in mind that some people don't really like to be given unsolicited advice, especially if what they are being told isn't backed with evidence of a certain quality.

I can concede that the perception of pain and what is considered agonising does vary from person to person, but as things are now, nothing you have posted thus far seems to adequately support your statements.

I have experienced more pain seeing the same links being posted over and over again than I imagine I ever will through SN
