So im suicidal and now im on the verge of being locked up in a real psych ward, like a closed type one. I self harm and all that and I feel like my psychiatrist (which I actually got rly attached to and love) is giving up on me. Ive been to a open type one where she works and that one is fine but I still self harmed there.

So sorry you are going through this.
I was attached to my therapist a long time ago. It's very easy to feel this way when you are vulnerable.
I've been in both open and closed psych wards. There's not much difference, one is just more secure than the other.
Psych wards certainly sound like horrific prisons to me, I would see places like that to be avoided at all costs, I hate how we exist in this cruel world that punishes suicidal people simply for wanting to die.
