I have seen that there are around 30 people from this group have committed suicide through SN. There may be more who did not post the goodbye thread. However, there are no news articles on SN suicide. I know that if they say SN, there will be copy cats. However, the authorities can mention it as some chemical suicide. But, I do not see ant such news. There would have been at least some medical case reports from this. But, I have seen very few research articles. Secondly, the number of SN sold by P guy was around 50.Its likely that almost all of them were brought by people from this community. Is there any chance that the authorities may ask him to mix some salt with SN to reduce its potency, so that people wont die... Looking for your opinions
Everyday after I get up I search news about SN suicide but I didn't find anything lately.

Okay so it's possible that the news sites don't tell that the person commited suicide by sodium nitrite as it can cause even more suicides, I didn't know that you can ctb with SN before I found this website either. This might be one reason why some news sites will call it 'chemical.'

SN is also used in some chemical processes. The degree of chemical purity in the country where I live is 98%. It has to be like this. The degree of purity remains the same but access may be restricted. Sounds not good but i think they will do it someday.

The guy in Pld will be selling lots to not only us, as it is used for many purposes/industries.
But yeah defo potential for restrictions in the future & 'diluting' of potency to reduce risk.

He sold only 59 until now, and it is highly likely that more than 90% of them were ordered from this community.
Its my guess. Most of the non US people bought from him. And when you see the posts from the people that they received SN from P, we can estimate it. Also, there are some people, who are vistors, and some people who might have bought from him, but did not post it here. This makes me think like that...
Of course he knows... like all the "popular market place" sellers before him 
. People and companies that use it for "legitimate purposes" probably buy it from reputable chemical companies.

I would imagine that research articles, if they exist, are paywalled.
Also, there is no incentive for people to report death by SN in obituaries. First, obituaries are written by the survivors, who are likely grieving. They want to give as little info as possible.
Second, if it was a relatively peaceful death, reporting it will definitely give other people more reasons to ctb, along with a motive. Lastly, society wants people to think of suicide as violent as possible, so as to discourage others. If someone says, "My Shawn killed herself, and it was peaceful", well, more people in society learned a easy out.

Yeah I registered to an online medical site/journal via subscription so I could read some accounts-there were a fair few in there-none of which show up in regular google searches
