SN without AE?

This is an early protocol. I have none of the supplies in place. But if I am able to obtain SN, i anticipate my big difficulty will be with anti-empirics. I may be able to refill a Xanax prescription.

When do people typically test their SN

-Make preparations at hotel. Turn on TV for noise distraction. Would it be kind to bring a drop cloth to protect bed?
-8 hours or more, fast
-OTC antacid?
-3 hours before, no fluids
-1 hour before, 600 mg ibuprofen or acetaminophen
-10 minutes before. Mix 25 g SN in 50ml
Water. Mix thoroughly, no crystals. Mix two doses
-10 minutes before, take benzos.
-finally drink SN solution. Expect to vomit. Take additional dose if needed

Equipment
-Note to be left
-Possibly drip cloth
-emisis basin?
-ibuprofen
-benzo
-SN
-scale
-spoon
-paper cups

Are there other things? Comment?

I think AE´s makes it all much easier.

I´d just test the SN it as soon as it arrives.

I too am trying to settle on a decent OTC antiemetic.
I've seen Emetrol and Pepto-Bismol online. I'm thinking of trying the Emetrol on a dry-run some time before needing it for real.
Apparently antihistamines (travel sickness drugs) are no use as they treat the signals in the brain that deal with motion and dizziness and not stomach nausea, which is what is needed in this case.
Any advice/views on OTC AE's welcome.
Is ibuprofen preferred over paracetamol for any specific reason? (just curios, they are probably interchangeable here, Ie personal preference is fine?)
(Also I've read it's advisable to have the extra dose(s) of SN pre-prepared, it may not be easy to mix another if required at the time. Other than that looks Ok, but that's just my non-expert take).

Oh, I didn't know paracetamol is acetaminophen! I'm not sure which is preferred maybe others will comment

Here in the UK paracetamol and ibuprofen are used interchangeably for mild-moderate pain relief. (They don't interact so you can take max dose of both btw).
Ibuprofen is also an anti-inflammatory, specifically a NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) - so it's supposedly better for joint and muscle pain type pains. Most people just pop either as required. Some people can't take ibuprofen as can interact with other medication, not that that would matter in this situation.

I just wondered if ibuprofen is preferred with SN CTB for any particular reason? I've only heard about the possibility of headaches, which any pain reliver should be Ok for? Shout if there's more to it (I'm no expert!). Thanks!

Nope, I had just read it in a thread. I think for headaches. I also think probably acetaminophen was recommended and I just switched them in my mind

In Stan´s Guide from 2019 (so he/she used an older version of the PPeH) it says: "When SN starts to work, your blood pressure will drop. When this happens you may get a mild headache. To counteract this, any regular pain killer will stop or reduce the pain before it starts. Paracetamol or Ibuprofen will work."
And "Painkiller: Another simple medication to get and use. There is no reason not to use it."
Stan´s protocol: "600mg of Ibuprofen or 1000mg of paracetamol. You can use any pain killer as long as you stay within the recommended dose."

Vizzy´s Guide from 2023 added to Stan´s Guide: "Ppeh doesn't talk about pain killer in their recent release, if you are using sedatives it should be avoided because too many medications will cause vomiting."

I haven't seen anything to say ibuprofen is preferred to paracetamol. Only you listed it in your kit is only why i asked. I think they are interchangeable, so down to personal preference. Whatever cures your headaches
