SN seems too easy

I feel like SN is too easy of a method. How is this stuff just available? I bet if I tried to buy it something would go wrong. It wouldn't be the right stuff, I'd puke, or I'd be found, even if I did go far away. Why is death so hard for people who want to die but easy for those who want to live?

Agh! I have the same feeling. Like, it's too good to be true. Especially because where I live, meto and tagamet are OTC. It all feels so in reach that it's hard to believe. My biggest fear with it is being interrupted/found, because I have to do it at home where I live with family.

FFS, most people here are constantly saying how difficult it is to take their own life, which is fuckin true. Yet you get presented with a method that is pretty simple to achieve and you complain its too easy. What more do you want, someone to spoon feed you N and then roast you slowly over a fire whilst you drift off to sleep, just so you feel some pain along the way?
@HellLife2 is badly mistaken. If you follow the instructions to the letter, there is very little chance you will survive. Being found usually means having a antidote administered and then you recover with little/no long lasting effects.
Please, please, please, stop knocking this method and spreading rumours that are unfounded and untrue. Keep it real and accept this is included in the PPH for good reason.

This is hilarious.
Truthfully though, I am so, so relieved to have found this method, and any 'this is too easy to be true' thinking is just my paranoia kicking in.

There's serious risks. It's not 100% that it is lethal every time. What if you survive and aren't found? What if you become a vegetable from a brain injury?
The only brain injury I am getting is watching you go round in circles on the SN subject! I have helped you in public forum and I have helped you in private messages. If you don't like the method, don't do it. But stop scaring other members.

I personally questioned what can happen from this method because of an article posted a few days ago. The person is now brain dead and has been in a coma for 7 months.
You're right that most people do recover if they get medical treatment without major lasting issues.
That article says that the child is brain dead.. so, he died. I would consider a CTB attempt that ended up with brain death as a success (not that a suicide attempt is what happened in the article)

I am really not sure wht your aim is. Do you go onto the hanging megathread and complain about the potential for rope burns? Do you go to the Helium exit megathread and talk about the possibility of floating away due to being potentially lighter than air? All methods outlined in the PPH are about ending your life, it's not a joke book! By that fact alone you are doing serious damage to yourself! I am waiting for someone to say "Hey, this looks dangerous! You could kill yourself doing that"

I think it's possible that those who view something as too easy and bemoan that, or constantly get hung up on the what could go wrong's... don't actually want to really die.
Which is totally fair enough.
Death is a scary thing. And even scarier to do it to oneself.
If it's a little bit too hard, like an easy method is unavailable... or if there is too much chance that something could go wrong (there always is) then there is justification in putting it off and dwelling instead in the ideation and the addictive negative feelings bemoaning that it's too hard yet secretly, even unconsciously, relieved because follow through isn't necessary, can just complain about it.
Don't get me wrong though. All of that is fine. Nobody should ever feel they have to go through with any of this ever. This is an extreme last resort for those who are utterly desperate.
If one doesn't want to die, nobody here should ever ever judge that.
Its totally ok to put it off, to question a method to the point of talking yourself out of it, to think it's too hard and unavailable, etc as long as that isn't negatively influencing anyone else.
Its all good. Do or don't. Its only up to you.

I am not going to make an apology for jumping on statements like "brain damage" because for around 3 weeks I was constantly responding to messages about SN making people go blind and it really concerned a number of people. As well as the support aspect of this forum, another key role it has is to share correct information about a method. When I see statements like the above that could deter a member from an affordable and straight forward peaceful method, then my blood pressure goes up a few points.

It isn't that easy to get- some places won't sell to general public / some only in huge quantities & I sense there is a slight clamp down on it. But I wouldn't complain , If u can get it , & it not get caught in the post by people you live with (as happened to me) and you follow the very clear instructions on megathread AND Pph I wouldn't knock it! I'd do anything to have kept hold mine. Seems like a far better method that others .

I totally agree! I have to admit that, after all the years I've wanted to ctb and the many failed attempts I've made, I do sometimes find it hard to believe that there's something so readily available out there that I could use that, as long as I follow instructions, could relatively easily help me ctb.
I am so grateful and happy that I found this site. It's so nice not to have to deal with this alone anymore.

Im not saying it's not true or effective, I'm just saying that as far as suicide goes, its suspiciously easy. I would def do SN if I had the cash, but it seems so simple. Thats why its kinda freaky imo.
The biggest cuases of failure are due to two things. One, not taking antiemetics and then vommiting. Two, being found early. But both of those things are controllable and preventable.

Not only does it induce blindness, I heard it makes you grow hair on your palms as well-- a potential red flag that employers may use to screen for suicidality during the handshake phase of an interview. So you can FORGET about ever getting hired after an unsuccessful attempt.
