I'm interested in storage / shelf life sodium nitrite (food grade). Can I store it in my room (in the nightstand)?
The room is warm (computer + heating). Does that not upset him? He will not explode?

Room temperature should be fine, unless it's excessively hot. Then... I don't know. But it's a stable chemical and won't explode. Don't worry. (Nitrate is the dangerous one.)

I do not know whether it has been somewhere clarified already but when looking for SN in my country I have notised i guess minor difference in chemical formula. Wiki says that Sodium Nitrite has NaNo2 chemical formula but I see in the online local estores in my country that is being sold as NaNo3 formula ! Can anyone advise if these really any difference maybe fundamental ? I am really confused.

NaNO3 is Sodium NitrAte. That is NOT what you want. Make sure to read carefully and only get Nitrite. It's easy to confuse the two.

I'm worried you've bought the wrong thing. That seems very inexpensive to me! You need to make sure it's pure otherwise I'm afraid it won't work.

I googled E250 and all I came up with was a Ford cargo van. I don't know what that is in relation to SN.

It is easily available and cheap. That's a big reason it's popular. It's always just called sodium nitrite, though. No other names, except for the chemical compound.

"Imposter" substances are curing salt and sodium nitrate. People confuse those all the time. Just look for sodium nitrite with a high purity.

E250 is the codename to indicate it's an additive and yes SN is quite cheap so...
