How much SN do you need to CTB and where do you get it.
I ordered a 500g bag off Amazon for £2.50 and it should be here by next week. I'm not sure if it's legitimate or not.

@HighwayToHell just about to post the Comprehensive Guide to SN, when @Yaalya kindly did so............its a lot of detailed info. Hope helps you gain more knowledge. Its not a method I would choose or could use anyway due to severe health problems, but does appear to be popular choice, although what may be ok for one might work differently in another, so research and also knowing your own body and system is vital.

The dose can be summarized to 15 g for underweight persons, 20 g for healthy-weight persons, and 25 g for overweight persons.

Now you can test the amount of nitrite in your SN with an aquarium test kit, you'll have to do some research in the forum however. I know there's documentation on the topic but unfortunately i'm on phone and phone's shitty so links will be hard to find. There's no way to know if it's legit unless you test it or unless your seller is deemed legit and since we don't share publicly sellers info here...

Also 2.50 pounds is rather... Cheap. Really, make some research regarding this seller. Make sure your SN has at least 95% purity, the higher purity the better

Recommended amount is 25g for someone with average weight. It's still lethal in lower doses, PPH changed their recommended dosage through the editions.

If you're based in the UK what you may have ordered is very low purity Nitrite Salt... you need the one that is 95% + purity. I struggled to find it on Amazon UK.

That's not what you need! That's mainly table salt mixed with some SN.

To me it looks like this is only 0.6% Sodium Nitrite NaNO2, the rest is basically table salt (99.35% Sodium Chloride or NaCl)

I wrote that "we" were looking to ship several metric ton of product into Australia but that we first required a small sample for purity testing. Both replied within a few hours offering samples, on confirmed a 100gram sample for free. This information is surely useful to some.

You can look up the companies online, massive factories in China: they do their MINIMUM shipments by metric ton so I'm guessing they're industrial exporters of chemicals. Validated by Alibaba. If they're agreeing to send a test for free I don't see how they would be operating as a successful scam, since they don't make any money. I did not approach them as a private customer. They didn't seem to care to check any credentials. But then again, no one knows for sure if it's pure - maybe they try to make money off of companies by skimping on the purity of large shipments? But my idea there is that they will send a pure test sample first, since I told them I'll test the purity before I decide to proceed with large order. Even if the large order is impure, the sample should be pure ... Thoughts?

They also have hundreds of thousands of dollars in transactions and are verified ... To me it seems more trustworthy than buying from someone selling "TOTALLY PURE" sodium nitrite! Food grade! In specific, tiny quantities...
