sn fasting

I am planning on fasting for 12 hours before taking my sn. is this too much or too little? also, when fasting am I able to drink water or not? if so, when should i stop drinking water?

8 hours for food fast. I believe water fast is 2 hours, not 100% sure though.

12 hours is fine, i would say no water for the last 6 hours.

But generally it is 8 hours for food and 2 hours for water according to stan
