not longer than the time of the transport. Just do the aquarium test!

Was there any info why your package was opened?

That'd concern me much more.

It should be fine, honestly. I work with chemicals and we have some containers that have been opened hundreds of times over a decade and things still work. I would be more worried about someone fucking with the actual chemical. I would HIGHLY recommend you get a test kit.
