I'm waiting for recovery (mood stabilisers + potential SSRI). Will try lithium first for my bipolar. I've got bad psychological suffering where I just dont feel anything, feel empty. Its not just that, its way more. Its not feeling the point in doing anything.

I'd rather just not be there so I'm gonna try to spend my days sleeping. Anyone else tried this strategy? Does this disrupt your sleep at night? Do you get better at sleeping? (Sorry if that sounds retarded). I'd like to sleep for the biggest part of the day.

If my recovery doesn't work, I'd rather sleep forever. So in that case I'm going to do SN. I could also request euthanasia. Me and my mom will figure out a way for me to leave my broken brain, that's for sure. I feel like theres just something very wrong with me. Like I'm so genetically fucked up, I probably have a syndrome.

During my dark days I usually tend to sleep a lot. I work from how, so I usually do some task, and then go sleep for a hour. It works for me.

I'm trying to sleep as much as I can. I wish I could sleep like 20 hours a day. It'd be perfect. Almost every waking moment of my life seems like a torture…..

I wish I could sleep all day. Sleep is what I look forward to, and for me it is the one escape. I try to sleep as much as I possibly can but it is not enough. Sometimes I do struggle to sleep and it is awful.

I have a difficult time staying awake. Depression does that to me. If I didn't have an 18yr old daughter and a job, I'd never get out of bed at all simply because I don't have the energy...literally exhausted and tired all the time, and I don't care... only remedy is sleep. I take nothing in terms of meds.

I don't have energy for anything so I sleep the whole day. I don't feel it like a recovery process. This make things worse and because I'm not taking care of myself(eat, drink, exercise...) It feels good but for the wrong reasons. If you REALLY want to recovery I don't see how sleeping and skipping days will work but for sure feels less bad when you wake up.

You are gonna break all of your sleeps schedules so I don't think you'll get to sleep at nights but if you can afford it... If you can't taking regulated naps may work?

Yes. This does mess up the sleeping schedule.
You might awake at night and not be able to sleep again for some hours.

I try to sleep as much as possible, but unfortunately, I have very bad migraines when doing so.
Some people are cursed with this.

Maybe you can buy some melatonin at the drugstore. It depends where you live, though.

Recovery for me isnt gonna be about what I do in a day anyway. Its gonna have to be about medication. I'm just trying to get through the days as fast as possible.

I sleep during the day and stay awake at night to purposefully avoid social interaction. It's worked so far. Makes life a bit less unbearable. At least there are no noises at night or people awake.

Feel the same way, in my bed I can at least forget about everything and make the room dark and be in silence and peace under my blanket. It's like a shield where I can hide in darkness.

One of my bipolar meds [Seroquel] makes me sleep 12-15 hours/day. My record is 22 hours.
