After having only shot a .22 pistol before, I shot a .357 Magnum (with .357 ammunition) this weekend. It felt like a cannon going off. With a hollow-point bullet and proper aim at the brain stem, it's difficult to see how this would be unsuccessful in ending things. 😳

nice! i know what that's like. i used to have a ruger redhawk and was 'holding' a desert eagle for someone. both were .44's first time i shot them was in a cold underground shooting range. after the first shot, i was shaking like a leaf and it took me a while before i could hit anything lol. the muzzle flash was really amazing. could even feel a shock wave after each shot. before that i have only fired my .223 rifle in and outdoor setting. oh and a 9mm handgun when i took a training course for a license. that was nothing.

Yep, this was a Redhawk. I just put the gun down and wondered if I could keep shooting! I got more comfortable and was glad I stuck with it.

I got a LTC license and have bought a .357. Waiting for it to come from out of state. I feel good knowing I have that, in case I finally give up.
