if you're multiple beings in one body you might find it helpful to look into DID/OSDD systems, as well as tuplas and some other related things. a lot of them can help you with communication, day-to-day functioning, and understanding the others inside your body :)

thank you, but no - that is one diagnosis i dont have. yet i find this could be useful for everyone.

it was more metaphorical. as in the demons i called when i couldnt cope with life.
the stuff in you can be very overwhelming. giving them names and faces disarms them, at least a little.

and we do kinda have a lot more people in us than we'd like. but its more fluid than in DID

One of my alters made this tanka poem and I really really like it, it's really relatable... It's inspired by a song using the same imagery, and is in reference to kintsugi, the japanese art of repairing pottery with gold, and to false gold, but I'm sure you already knew that, you're very smart, hehe...

Many Beast of Clouds' on a 5 of Clouds.
The Watcher wants to return to Darkness,
Their face, the Traveler of Hearts and Clouds.
No change of suit will quell her,
No place in Spades or Planets.

That Trav'ler lies beneath a 4 of Clubs,
The 0 of Clouds there giving her warmth.
Her Black Talisman shows The Conjurer.
No change of suit will quell her,
Yet, no place in Hearts or Clouds.

How that Traveler wishes for Darkness.
She receives Arrows of all suit colors;
Even so, her ties to Heart wane regardless.
No change of suit will quell her,
No place in Clubs or Acorns.

Something calls from the closed 8 of Planets;
The Watcher and thus Traveler arise.
Within, she finds a card she's long repressed.
No change of suit will quell her,
No place in Diamonds or in—

Knives.
An 11 of Knives, found on a 3 of Planets.
Feeling it against herself, she knows what she need do.
What she's tried to push down.
The Traveler needs it.
She needs it.
...
She returns to Darkness.

I expect to rewrite this poem a couple times, to revise and edit it to make it better, more concise.
If you have any comments or critiques I love to hear them, ehehe. I hope the feeling I was trying to get across is clear, I'm not entirely sure how to put it though...

Well... I sat down with pencil and paper with the intention to draw something nice, and I did these vent doodles instead...


My head after a fall to my death. I don't think jumping would be my first choice, but I find it's oddly cathartic to sketch the potential outcome anyway, as a kind of thought experiment.


My dessicated head rotting in the woods. Again, oddly therapeutic. I like the idea of decomposing back into the natural world.

Quick digital sketch, it's fun to draw with a bigger brush, giving up some control and precision makes it a lot easier to roll with mistakes instead of trying to fix everything.

I turn to art sometimes to try to express what I can't understand but when I show it to others, they often say it's "depressing"... so I thought this might be a good avenue for us who make and enjoy art :)

P.S. doesn't have to be dark or anything, all kinds of art are good!

Hey buds, just joined yesterday. I'm Lefttounge.
I paint cubism, surrealism, and expressionism. This painting is called The Intense Gangster

I've posted some of my paintings before, but here are two more I did.

Your impressionism is very amazing, it has this dream-like feel to it that many famous impressionists attempted to achieve, but very few actually were successful in my opinion, other than my favorite Impressionist Renoir. :) You however succeeded very well and then some.

The blue and white colors reflect that you are a very spiritual person. You see those orange color you used? I think they're like sun rays? It's like a red, but then again it isn't, more like a burgendy, or a ketchup-like color? It's also used for the leaves of one of your trees. This color I've seen in many artworks, I call it The Pain Red color. Many artists paint this color when they are feeling very depressed, or have experienced great sorrow. :( I've painted it too in many of my paintings, and it can be seen even in my Intense Gangster painting I just posted.

Artists such as Van Gogh's Crow and Wheatfields, Dali Salvidor's The Face of War, and Edvard Munch's The Scream used that same exact color, and all of which also had bouts of sorrow. I found that to be very fascinating, and this makes your work extremely valuable not just from a skill perspective, but from an analytical perspective when studying it.
