I have passed out suddenly just standing too long in line at a store lol my blood pressure tanked for some reason and I felt dizzy and was about to tell my bf that I didn't feel good but instead I woke up on the floor with mad people standing around me. I fell flat on my back bashing my head. Lol when I woke up one lady was trying to put my legs in the air haha and I was confused trying to stand back up and they kept pushing me down. So I sat indian style on the floor and passed out again. Just fell back, but I was sitting so it wasn't a huge fall like the first time. Then I sat back up again and my bf was like "wtf is wrong with u, why are u passing out?" Then I fainted for the last and third time...that time I pissed myself lol fun times!

Sounds like this method is tailor made for you :)

That sounds exactly like a seizure Machine. Can you go to the hospital with your bf? Get there NOW if you can...He needs to go with you as a witness to the event. He can tell everything that you are unaware of. Please this is essential. It is the only way they really have to diagnose the disorder. Hopefully it is simply a drop in blood sugar, but you need to find out...sorry...I have to go. Keep us posted Machine...go...

This happened a couple months ago. I had a miscarriage like 2 weeks before so the dr thought it was from blood loss and stress. It hasn't happened since tho. I work with kids who have seizures so I'm very familiar with them but I obviously didn't witness myself so idk maybe.

I've just tried it and, damn, I'm surprised that how insanely easy of this method makes you pass out within a second.

I'm planning to ctb on Monday and this is my method of choice. I hope it goes well bc there's no going back for me. I'm going to do it in a hotel. Any suggestions aside from the previously mentioned will be very helpful.

I have escitalopram and quetapine meds. It's not a lot, but do guys think it will help coupled with alcohol, before doing this method, just to give me courage? Or is it better to do this method sober?

Thanks To OP btw for sharing this method.

This, the method is so easy yet I couldn't work up the courage to do it, I think I'm going to get drunk before, to have a push.

Cheers! I would have to assume drinking would make blacking out easier..but I haven't tried hyperventilating on purpose when I'm drunk yet. Another day, another drink, so I'm going to see if it's any easier or harder after I've knocked a few back.

One user asked if there would be anyway to minimize thrashing around or having their resurface (only a issue if your unconscious body didn't fill your lungs with water), I suggested tying a small weight to their neck, maybe do that too if you are using a tub.

Make sure the tub isn't super small..a tub would be my last choice to SWB, but I understand it's some people's only choice, and there is nothing stopping this from working in a tub. I just want to eliminate variables, so I will be doing this in a larger body of water.

Also, just another idea, if you don't want to use your tub at home, but don't have access to large bodies of waters or outdoor pools...

You could buy a cheap blow up kiddie pool and fill it up wherever you want to KTB

I'm happy to hear of everyone's success. I have tried all the way up to 4 minutes, standing fast to attempting after running with short breaths and no luck. Is anyone else having a hard time?

It's become clear to me that this method is not as fool proof as the information leads you to believe.

The science and the facts back up that this method will kill you, but if you are unsuccessful in your hyperventilation, then clearly this method will not work for you.

This thread has all the information I believe it needs, there is more information out there, if you still wish to use this method, but read this whole thread, and still can't succeed.

I encourage you to pursue research on your own regarding this method.

Squat, and take 10 deep breaths, quickly. On the 10th breath, stand up quickly and put your thumb in your mouth and blow on it while not letting any air escape from your mouth.

I just tried hyperventilating myself to see if I was capable of doing it...it's scary easy. I stood straight up, inhaled and exhaled as much and as hard as I could for 1 minute, then held my breath. Instantly dizzy and lightheaded. I have no doubt that if I increased my hyperventilation time, jumped into water and held my breath...I wouldn't wake up.

This is my new method, fuck everything else. I will be able to end my life, and make it look like I'm just a shitty swimmer. I'm so exicted!

Actually it happens to even elite swimmers. So they won't even be able to say that. They will be more likely to think you were a serious swimmer

I tried this method and I'm here to share my results. Few hours ago, I took a few shots to the point where I'm tipsy, yet still conscious. I hyperhyperventilated for 3-4 min then held my breath to the point where I passed out on my bed. Here's the mistake I had done. I tried a variation of the ligature strangulation using a flexible belt by bulwark. Easy to strangle yourself with and adjustable tension since the material is made out of rubber. Anyways, I passed out when I start putting the belt over my neck and failed to secure. I woke up hours later, sober and disappointed. I think this would have been effectively lethal if I had tightened and secured the belt sooner when I start holding my breath. I had no options for water so I had to be creative. As my first newbie suicide attempt, it wasn't too bad. I thought that it would be a great idea to let myself pass out even before experiencing strangulation for 30-50 seconds to pass out. Let me know if it was a great idea or not. Thanks.

Yes, I think so. I could see a blackout assisting you in ligature strangulation. To me, it sounds like you've identified what went wrong, and I believe with more trial and error, you can make your strategy successful :)

This seems like a promising method. I tried making myself pass out a few years ago by squatting down, hyperventilating, then standing up quickly and blowing on my thumb (basically the method from the first video on the first page). Worked like a charm every time. Drunk or sober. It's been a while though so I can't remember exactly if I hyperventilated or just took deep breaths, but I believe it was 10 breaths. I think that doing this, then jumping into a body of water as you're standing up could work great. Maybe even blow on your thumb underwater. I also did it on my bed where I bent over while doing the breaths, the sat up quickly and it still worked, so maybe that could be done in a bathtub?

Hey Guys, Hey Ben :)
I trained a lot to hyperventilite and it wouldnt work but then yesterday: 2½ min hyperventilate and 1½min "hold your breath". Before I passed out I thought this doenst work for me and zack, I layed on the floor (i wanted to pass out on the bed) and and destroyed a mug :D
Only problem was I woked instant up, is this normal and only happened if I can breath?

Thank you Ben for this method. This sounds like a great way to "pass out of life" :) Im glad you shared it with us!

Sorry for my bad english!

Just tried making myself pass out. Worked well. I just breathed full(ish) breaths in and out with as little time as possible in between inhales and exhales (and vice versa) for 10 inhales, then after the 11th I blew on my thumb while standing up quickly. Immediately my vision started to get static-like and my ears rang. I did this right next to my bed and conveniently collapsed backward onto it. I didn't even breath that fast, but I think having as little time as possible between inhale/exhale helped. I also think the headrush from standing up quickly really facilitates passing out. I wasn't out for long, but I'm pretty sure holding my breath underwater instead of blowing on my thumb would put me out for good after the breathing/headrush. I'm still pretty delirious from it to the point of second guessing why I'm even making this post, but I guess I just wanted to try it again to make sure I can still do it, and report my results.

Your English is fine! Yes, it happened because you could breath. Underwater, already so deprived, there isn't anything that would cause you to instantly wake up. Working out the logistics can be tricky, but t sounds like you're on the right track. If done correctly, this should be among the most peaceful ways to KTB. Let me know how it goes if you keep pursuing this method.

Sounds like you can do it well! It seems to work better for certain people. I'm not sure if their their anatomy, or their hyperventilation method. Please let me know if you have any further experiences to share. It's good to have a bit of evidence supporting this method if so many people are going to be trying it.

I'm concerned this method is much more likely to leave you with brain damage than dead.
