Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I'm too much of a coward to attempt other methods aside from SN, but it's not something I can access due to my country, and my parents opening every package. I've been doing SH and starving to cope, but I've noticed that the blades become duller over time, and I was wondering if anyone knew any ways to sharpen them?

I have craft knives, blades from shaving razors (most effective currently) as well as a pack of art blades that don't seem to be very effective .I can't easily obtain more unless my parents buy more razors, so I need to find a way to sharpen them.

If you're really desperate, I've used the bottom of a coffee mug before, along the rough rim where it touches the table. Pretty sure there's a wikihow on it out there. However, this probably won't work with anything flimsy like the blades from shaving razors. Try, if you can, to get your hands on fresh blades. I'm sure you've heard it a million times before but sharp new blades are safer than dull rusty ones. Make sure you're cleaning and drying your tools effectively before and after use. I wish you the very best of luck!

i personally just buy a pen sharpener whenever my blade gets dull and take the blade out of it and continue SHing. thats mainly cuz im poor and its a very cheap way of getting a new one, and also my family doesnt know and i dont want to make things obvious (like i can just put the blade back and theyd never know), but u could just buy knife sharpening stones if u want to still use the old ones, they should work too. not the cheapest way, but definitely worth for the long run.
