Ah that's amazing, you keep going xxI usually cut, but I've been 105 days without cutting which is great for me because I didn't think I'd make it that long :)
Ive actually been self harming since I was 16 and now I'm 22 so I know exactly what it's like. Please don't start, it's addictive and scarring. I still have to explain scars 30 years on
Thanks. I'll try my best :) I was cutting since I was 14 (am 21 now)Ah that's amazing, you keep going xx

Also I was self harming when I was 13 till I was 22 then started again now I'm 35. Mad how old habits feel so right. I wish I'd have never stopped.I use Stanley blades. Mainly chest and torso. It makes me feel so much better about things. I turn allot inwards anyway so it helps me have that realise.
Yes....watching and feeling the blood is really something else.Cutting. I rarely go too deep though, I don't usually feel the need to. Seeing a nice amount of blood is good and feels nice
Yes, please please always care for the wounds! Infection is no joke.I cut my thighs, burn myself on my stomach and scratch my hands until the skin is raw. I've done it for years and the scarring is pretty horrible now. Make sure what you're using is clean and take care of the wounds after, you don't want to get an infection and run into complications. Take care ❤
I'm not sure if it's peace or not, but everything seems to slow down for a bit and I feel numb. I guess it's peaceful compared to what drives me to cut lmao. Maybe you like the blood because it reminds you that you're alive, or it's like the pain is literally leaving you? Those seem like common reasons.Does anyone else when you cut yourself that you have a second of pain but then pure peace in your head just for a second or two. I like how the blood looks and runs as well. I wonder what this means.
Amazing reply. It's answered that for me lol. Yeah you feel free numb for just a shirt time it's amazing.I'm not sure if it's peace or not, but everything seems to slow down for a bit and I feel numb. I initially feel pain too, then go numb physically and emotionally. The numbness is very comfortable, for me at least. :)I feel very little pain when I cut. It stings a bit at first, but not nearly as much as it would if the injuries had been accidental. Then, I'll typically enter a state of numb "relaxation". It's usually easy for me to fall asleep afterwards, regardless of what state I might have initially been in.

It's funny because when I'm dissociating I want to cut myself to bring myself out of it, even though it's kinda cozy. When I'm overwhelmed I cut or make deep scratches and end up dissociating. Idk what I want from myself lmao.Same.
I know a lot of people do it to bring themselves out of a dissociative state or otherwise "feel something", but for me, the effect is pretty much the opposite.
