What's up y'all.
So there's a lot of missing context but I'll just get to the point. Recently I've been obsessed with Scientology.
I'm not a Scientologist/brainwashed don't worry but what intrigued me so much is how goddamn effective their mind control shit is. You can look up videos of cult members and they're always in a state of disassociation, glazed eyes, can't even speak properly. Scientology is insanely effective at this. Literally people will go in for a personality test and 15 years later they're a complete robot slave working 120 hours/week for $40.
If you don't know L Ron Hubbard, Jack Parsons & Aleister Crowley all knew each other. It's a fascinating rabbit hole. Basically what happened Hubbard took Crowley's techniques & weaponized them. Parsons work contributed to later MK Ultra programs.
In Scientology you're audited. Auditing is basically where they will relax you and put you in a trance state & you will recount past experiences. There's a lot of subtle techniques being used like the language/words are very specific. Each time you recount the experience the auditor may try to shift the story, implant false memories, push the auditee towards certain thoughts or beliefs because the disassociation makes you vulnerable.
And let me just get this in here, the problem with Crowley is his metaphysics he essentially wants you to make contact with your 'true self' for example someone's true self may be a 'revolutionary' archetype or a 'observer' or something like this (Jungian psychology). The problem is it's always post-hoc rationalization. If you think you're a 'revolutionary' and you brush up against the material conditions and obviously nothing changes Crowley simply says "oh that's just because you're wrong about your true self you're actually X not Y" so he can rationalize any of his 'magick' that doesn't work.
Anyway since mainstream mental healthcare never did anything for me I had the idea to repurpose Scientology's techniques since they are actually effective, just had to flip it to produce good results instead of dependent cult members so I dived into their literature. KSW, OT levels, internal docs, obscure PDF's that are impossible to find, every single thing.
It will take hours and hours of typing for me to really explain this but basically I have a technique I would like you guys to try and tell me what the results are on your mental.
Firstly (this will work best if you have like a job interview coming up or something where you have to really perform) consider your 'self' as a patchwork of all your previous experiences, you're carrying all that baggage of experiences from that past.
Now create a persona that embodies the characteristics that will help you perform on this day, like a tulpa if you know what that is. Really dig in & dive deep, imagine this new person, imagine his (or her) parents, his childhood experiences, his friends, his beliefs, his moral fibre, everything. Write it down if you need to. Imagine how he behaves in various situations, ones relevant to the persona and completely irrelevant, silly situations. Imagine his diet, his financial planning. Leave no stone unturned. Do this until you feel you can embody the character on a whim without having to think too much. Maybe even draw the character.
Once you're ready the next step is (make sure you have spare time) to then breath in a 4-4-4-4 rotation so 4 seconds breathe in, 4 seconds hold, 4 seconds breathe out, 4 seconds hold. Do this for about 10-20 minutes, there is a symbolic reason for this & the mind operates on symbols.
Finally stare into a mirror or a fixed point on a wall for 30-40 minutes, try to remain focused but breathing doesn't matter much anymore, this will put you into slight disassociation, if you do like 1 hour or 2 hours you will start hallucinating. Once you're feeling disassociated pick a small item like a lucky coin or something & put it in your pocket, ideally a thin shirt pocket so that you can feel it & now you are going to start method acting.
For as long as you have the coin/trinket in your pocket you will BE the new persona.
You will become this persona that you've created, it will help to open your arms & say out loud "(persona name) I feel your presence, we exist in the same space, I feel you next to me, come into me, my body is your plaything" something to this effect, the more you can dramatize it the better.
At first this is going to feel really weird but just trust the process, As I said you need to start method acting at this point, do things the persona would do, speak how the persona would speak. Get enough practice at this that you can disassociate yourself and then slide into the new persona comfortably. Once you're comfortable you can then go and try to embody this persona while you accomplish your task, job interview, etc. You're acting, it's a skill & you will get better.
The idea behind this is essentially to disrupt the thought patterns that your brain has grooved into but there is a bit more to it than that.
I would really love if some of you could try it out and let me know how it went for you, this is probably the 3rd most powerful technique I've discovered so far.
