How do I say a proper goodbye to everyone?

Just say it from your heart. Many dont say goodbye and just left, thats fine too. Peace upon them.

I think it is a personal thing, saying goodbye. Only you know how you should do it. Just do what feels right for yourself. In my case, I would prefer to write notes to give those left behind some closure. I wish you the best in whatever happens.
