I got to see my kiddo today. I am 2000% better. We talked tonight about how close we both came to killing ourselves (I had NO idea he had suicidal ideation also.) during those years we were estranged. To be fair, I shouldn't have been shocked because there were several family members manipulating the two of us, and he was always more like me than them. All he wanted was for his family to love him but we were, unfortunately born into a family of manipulative, abusive assholes. He and I wound up separated and it took us years to find our way back to each other. He never fails to lighten my load, and brighten my spirit when we get together.
