Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

In the province next to me the police chief was recently talking about an influx of suicide calls and suicide being the second leading cause of death in Canada among people aged 15-34.

I find that heartbreaking, but at the same time life is absolute shit for a lot of people (me included), so I really empathize with those who are struggling. I don't understand the point of existence and why some people have such a cruel one.

this is similar in the US. its very unfortunate that the quality of living has gotten so low, that many are forced to take their own lives. im curious to how this compares to suicide rates in the past. i can only imagine the suicide rates getting higher and higher as the years go by.

It is "so sad so many young people take their lives" yet the people in power do absolutely nothing to fix all of the issues that lead to people not wanting to live. It is all virtue signalling and hypocrisy.

It's heartbreaking but at the same time it's quite natural. the world went crazy and quality of life has decreased significantly and there is almost no point anymore. I think it's the worldwide trend, not only US/Canada/Australia.

No, what is tragic to me is how humans impose this terrible, dreadful existence causing all this harm and suffering in the first place, to suffer in this existence truly is the most terrible mistake, I don't see how permanently being at peace from all suffering and torture could ever be sad rather it's the opposite, for me ceasing to exist is the only relief from this existence so torturous and harmful where there is no limit as to how much one can suffer, it's just so horrific to me how one can be conscious for so long just to face the terrible, extreme agony of old age.

Just some factors: Very high cost of living, seems hard to meet nice, cool people (at least where I live), and I think the technology evolving like Instagram has been very negative too.

Nearly 1 in 3 (30%) of teen girls in the US now seriously consider attempting suicide according to the CDC (from 2021 through 2024). It's a nearly 60% increase over a decade. Those numbers are insane.
