• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I still do not know, anyway I want to use a mountaineering rope because they are resistant.
Yeah I can see your point on that. They do hold up alot of people climbing mountains. Strength wise

I just visited another local mountaineering shop, he told me exactly the same thing, "really static" ropes are no longer sold, now they are categorized as "static" on semi-static ropes that behave practically the same as static ones, said that there is no difference, could that rope work for me?

Does anyone know about this? Thank you

In the hanging thread they mention this I thought I tagged you to the thread when you first asked about hanging.

I'm considering full hanging, what kind of rope would be the most suitable? How thick?

I've heard that there are several forms of full hanging, how should I put it to be relatively fast?

Thanks.

This will be fine! Static is a relative, rather than absolute term

You want a static climbing rope like this one.

You do NOT want drop hanging where your neck breaks. You want to kick the stool over with just a little slack in the rope... you should lose consciousness in under fifteen seconds with full suspension. Remember to keep rope high on neck, under jaw.

Single most important thing: please make sure you have a reliable rope and anchor point. I've read a lot of threads where people survived because they used a shitty electrical cable or tied the rope to a random pipe overhead which broke. Those are not things to take chances with given the possible repercussions of failure.

Btw, love attack on titan.

I'm also planning on full suspension but for me I didn't get anything other than pain from putting it high on the neck only at the bottom. Which makes me a bit angry as the rope will probably slide up my throat when I do full suspension arrgggg...

I think I'll just have to keep trying by putting the rope at the top of my neck until I find a good spot that works for me at the top. Would it be possible to do full suspension with the knot at the front?

Full suspension isn't in my wheelhouse unfortunately, but I'm inclined to think that if you really commit you'll be fine regardless of noose position
