It was one of the atypical antipsychotics mentioned on Stan's SN page that would work as an antiemetic.

Anyone tried this as an antiemetic or should it be pretty effective? Or is it quite a bit weaker?

Use the search for SN successes and failures, there are two threads listing anecdotal accounts, many shared their methods. I don't recall anyone using risperidone but I recommend you check.

Also, from what I've gathered the antipsychotics need to be built up in your system and taken regularly in your daily regimen to be most effective. Some of the information has hinted to me that the dosages required to be effective as an anti emetic are quite a lot higher than some people are prescribed. For example, my daily dosage of quetiapine is 50mg, but 300mg is listed as an effective anti emetic dose. The information on this topic of AP as AE to me seems slightly murky.
