Do you think something like the ReliefBand 1.5 would help with nausea from SN (or other methods that require you to ingest something)? This is what it says at Amazon:

  • Clinically proven to reduce nausea - the ReliefBand is a digital therapeutic device indicated and approved by the department of health and human Services for the food and Drug Administration for use in reducing nausea, retching, and vomiting due to motion sickness, morning sickness associated with pregnancy, and chemotherapy.
  • Safe, drug-free relief - ReliefBand uses clinically proven, doctor recommended FDA-cleared technology indicated for the treatment of nausea and vomiting associated with all types of motion sickness including car sickness, flight sickness, and sea sickness. Unlike patches, medicine, and tablets, this wristband is drug-free and non-drowsy. It has also been known to help with sickness due to virtual reality gaming, vertigo, Pregnancy, amusement parks, and post-operative care.
  • How It Works - When turned on, this Anti-Nausea band releases a specific pattern of pulses that stimulate a nerve under the skin called the median nerve. The pulses create a signal which pulses through the body's nervous system to the part of the brain that controls nausea, creating a rebalancing effect, normalizing nerve messages from the brain to the stomach and relieving the symptoms of motion sickness.
  • 1 hypoallergenic gel tube included - the ReliefBand comes with 1 hypoallergenic conductivity gel tube. To use, first find the area between the two tendons on the underside of your wrist. Then clean the area and apply a small drop of gel and spread in a Circle. From there, place the bracelet device over the gelled area and press the power button.
  • Fast acting - users should start to feel relief shortly after applying the desired intensity level. ReliefBand works in 85% of consumers, according to our clinical trials.

I don't think it would be an adequate substitute for a few reasons. The biggest is because meto is recommended not just for nausea, but also because it helps empty your stomach faster, letting the SN absorb quicker.

One could combine it with meto for good measure, I suppose.

wrong. It is an anti-acid like tagament that empties the stomach faster. Meto is used for anti-sickness.

I'm sorry but this is incorrect. I am prescribed Metoclopramide for a paralyzing stomach condition called gastroparesis. When my stomach does not empty fast enough, I have to take it because it helps it empty. It is also for nausea, but its primary function is gastric emptying.

Also, in case anyone in the future is wondering about this, I did recently try one of these bands for nausea (I have to take prescription antiemetics daily because of my stomach), and it did not do anything at all to relieve it. It might be okay for something like motion sickness but I do not believe it is a substitute for a proper antiemetic in this scenario. I tried it multiple times because I wanted it to work, but I never noticed any difference at all.

Well thanks for sharing because that is something not many people know. I have meto and tagament.

It appears they both have multiple uses. some of the interest is considered a "side effect".
that's just from a brief search and a historical relationship with Tagamet
