Rebreather problems

The first Rebreather was introduced a year ago, in 2020, but with this device there were manufacturing defects and because of that the R2D Rebreather II was made. Exit International said the R2D Rebreather was a legal an reliable method. But how many people bought the first Rebreather, only fooled by the seller? And how many died of R2D Rebreather and Rebreather II and how many was only suicide attemtps?

Richard avocet said the old version will work as well as the new. Please see my thread about this. I don't know why you say people were fooled by the seller. It still works and it's no less reliable than a home made bag as long as you use it right.

How would a rebreather work

I think it works by re breathing what you exhale, but the carbon monoxide is absorbed by what is in the canister (lyme?) so you don't re breath carbon monoxide, it's a closed system so your not breathing in external gasses. I am not an expert, this is just from me viewing the item and trying to understand it. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
