So when I placed the order from DMC I had to put my name and also had to add C/O my roomates name so I would actually be able to receive the package, is this a reason for them to check the package?

Do you mean- will your roomate check the package? They shouldn't if it's adressed to you. Maybe you could warn them that you ordered something but had to put C/O them. Although, maybe that would seem more suspicious. Have they had parcels C/O for you before?

C/O are addresses for correspondence. The one who receive the package should only receive it but not open it. I mean, confidence is expected when using correspondent addresses where you're not living.

Customs won't be interested in that.

What exactly will catch customs attention?

I also doubt that would attract customs attention. Plenty of people send things C/O other people. If you are lodging somewhere for instance. In a way, a PO Box might seem more suspicious but then, people have business addresses so, maybe not.

I don't really know with customs. I guess certain areas of the world are hotspots for drug smuggling- so, they're probably interested in packages coming from there.

It sounds like a lot of DMC packages have made it through ok though, so they obviously know what to put for things to go smoothly.

I understand the worry though. I felt so tense waiting for the IC parcel. It even looked like it was going to the wrong postcode at one point.
