I realised I don't have enough benzos for An plan (I was given them by a friend ) . But I have a lot of Quetiapine… I didn't take them often but every time I took them they made me super sleepy almost immediately. Maybe I should use Quetiapine as a sedative ?
Quetiapine will absolutely work as a sedative and if you take it at the right time in your protocol, it will definitely reduce the time it takes for you to lose consciousness, it just won't help with anxiety the way that benzos would.
I would experiment with the quetiapine a little so that you know where to fit it into your protocol. Take the amount you would want to take on your CTB day and start a timer at the same time. Note down the exact amount of time that passes between you taking it and when you start feeling drowsy, and also try to note down how long it takes for you to go to sleep afterwards. That'll help you know when to take it before taking the SN.
I have been taking quetiapine for 7 months and the worst side effect is it's sedative effects. But this isn't your regular sedative like benzos. It can give you quite literally "paralyzing sleepiness" in normal therapeutic doses. If you ever change your mind about suicide i strongly recommend you quetiapine for it's antidepressant effects. It mostly removed my suicidal ideation and it helped tremendously for my depression, anxiety, insomnia, eating disorder. For me quetiapine is like a magic pill. I have drank dozens of meds and not one comes even close to quetiapine. It's a truly wonderful life saving drug.
